Work Capy — Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 31, 2026
Work Capy ("the app") is a focus timer published by Chinese Powered ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and by whom. The short version: we run no servers and hold no account data. The only data collection comes from the advertising and purchase services described below.
Data stored on your device only
Everything the app remembers — your focus history and session labels, Capy Coins, streaks, hats and scenes, and your settings — is saved in the app's local storage on your device. We never see it; it is not uploaded anywhere by us. Deleting the app deletes this data. (It may be included in your phone's own device backups, which follow your Apple or Google backup settings.)
The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no user-generated content that anyone else can see. Session labels are yours alone and never leave the device.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows optional rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob. There are no banners and no interstitials: an ad only ever plays after you choose to watch one, and every place that offers an ad also offers a way through without it. When an ad is requested, Google's SDK may collect device information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and ad-interaction data, used for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
- Consent: where required (EEA/UK), Google's consent form is shown before any ad is served. Without consent, ads are non-personalized.
- On iOS, the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission shortly after first launch. Ads use your device's advertising identifier only if you allow it there, and you can change your mind any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Where the consent form applies, the app's own Settings screen carries an "Ad privacy options" row that reopens it.
- Details: Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in AdMob.
Purchases
The Capy Pass and the optional coin packs are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment details, and no third-party purchase service is involved. The app asks the store which products you own so it can restore the Capy Pass, and stores that answer on your device.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, the app schedules local, on-device reminders: one when your session finishes, and an optional daily nudge you turn on yourself (off by default). No push-notification server is involved and no notification data leaves the device.
Analytics
The app contains no analytics SDK. We do not track how you use it.
Children
Work Capy is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your choices
- Ad personalization: your device's advertising-ID settings, plus the consent form where it applies (iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking).
- Notifications: turn them off in the app's Settings screen, or in your device settings.
- All local data: "Reset progress" in the app's Settings screen, or delete the app.
Changes
If a future version changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the date above revised.
