Leave, and he notices
Open something else and you get one warning. Do it again and Capy climbs out: the session is forfeit and pays nothing. Taking a call doesn't count, and neither does locking the phone (on an iPhone, that needs a passcode). Your streak and everything you own are untouched — one slip costs one session, never your week.

A coin a minute, a quarter more for a clean run, nothing at all for a forfeited one. Coins buy hats, sunglasses, outfits and scenes in Capy's Den.

Work Capy is small on purpose. Everything in it exists to make sitting still easier, and nothing in it exists to keep you looking at the app.
Real wall-clock time
Not tick counts. Whenever you come back to the app, the running session is right where it should be, to the minute.
Desk Mode
Screen stays awake, everything dims down, and your phone becomes an ambient desk buddy instead of a thing you keep picking up.

Minutes this week heat the bath: steam, a floating yuzu, a bird who decides this is the spot, eventually a whole scene. He isn't proud of you. He's just very comfortable.
Stats you can argue with
A seven-day chart, the month so far, six months of days at a glance, streaks, clean runs and a record of what you actually got done — including the sessions you lost.
Pomodoro sets, if you like them
Four soaks, a five-minute break after each and a long one after the fourth. A daily goal fills a ring, and missing it costs nothing.
Seasons you can't buy
Twice a year, focus hours earn looks nobody can pay for: a jack-o'-lantern and a witch hat in late October, a snowman and falling snow in December.
Gentle mode
One switch in Settings turns the stakes off entirely and Capy stays put no matter what. The app never decides that for you.
Share the soak
A card to share when there's something worth telling someone. A notification when a session or a break ends; an optional daily nudge, off by default.
Capy's Den
Your focus pays for his wardrobe.
Every finished session pays out Capy Coins. Spend them on hats, sunglasses, outfit recolours and scenes that re-skin the whole app, like Golden Hour and Night Soak. Earn it or buy it; the bath is free either way.
Profession themes
Capy can be a student, a programmer, a designer, a doctor, a marketer or — regrettably — a vibecoder. Each re-skins everything: his outfit, the scene behind every screen, his job title. Buy one outright, one time, or put the hours in and take it for nothing.

One-time purchases, never subscriptions. The ads are optional too, and a one-time purchase switches them off and doubles your coins. The timer itself is never paywalled, and no purchase or ad can undo a forfeited session.

The short answers.
Is it free?
Yes, and the timer is never paywalled. Everything for sale is optional and one-time, never a subscription: profession themes (which you can also earn with focus hours), coin packs for people who'd rather buy a hat than earn it, and a purchase that switches the ads off and doubles your coins.
What about ads?
No interstitials and no banners. There are exactly two rewarded videos in the whole app — double your coins after a session, or top up in the Den — and both are optional. Notably, no ad can bring back a session you forfeited. A consequence you can watch your way out of isn't one.
What happens if I leave mid-session?
The first time, a card tells you the session survived and warns you. The second time, Capy climbs out and the session is forfeit — no coins, and the time doesn't count. That's the entire penalty; your streak and everything you own are untouched. Locking the phone doesn't count as leaving (on an iPhone that needs a passcode), and neither does a phone call. If that's not what you need, Gentle mode in Settings switches it off and nothing can ever be lost.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes, in either orientation, with the same bath and the same rule.
Can I pause?
Yes. Pausing is free, and so is adding five minutes. It's leaving the app that counts — and pausing first costs nothing.
Do I need an account?
No sign-up and no login. Your sessions and stats are saved on your device, and the timer works offline.
How do I get help?
Write to [email protected]. Every message is read and answered by the person who makes the app. In the app, Settings › Send feedback starts that email with your app version filled in.
Does it play music?
No music or ambient sound, by design — if you focus to music, you already have something better than we could ship, and it plays on undisturbed. Notifications use your phone's usual sound.
Sitting still is hard.
Sitting still with a witness is easier.
